Oh How Easy It Is…

July 21, 2008 by jim · Leave a Comment

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

When I was working at a personal training studio in South Jersey, business seemed like such a mystery.

Marketing. Publicity. Websites. Sales. Lead generation.

No clue back then. None. Zip. Nada.

But once I discovered how critical it was to my success, well, I started to learn everything I could.

More and more fitness professionals are doing the same these days.

Just like fitness it takes discipline, effort and focus.

But just like you tell your clients, it all becomes second nature. It becomes a part of you.

Here’s more proof for you:

“Jim,

I’ve been following your advice about getting in touch with the media.

Last week a local news CBS 42 did a segment on my bootcamps that’s airing 5 times this week and the Birmingham news is doing a story on it this week.

I also have three publications now. Just wanted to let you know how it going thanks for all your help.”

JL: Great job of kicking ass, Romen. I just provide the tools and you do the rest.

And for those of you who aren’t Romen, here are the three products he has purchased from us since March 2007. (Think maybe you should be looking at a similar investment?)

Chocolate 6 pack abs snack email

July 16, 2008 by jim · Leave a Comment

I’m often asked what kind of snacks are OK to eat to help lose weight quick.

And while there are many healthy options found in nature, sometimes you just want a good old fashioned chocolate bar.

Well, a high fat, highly processed candy bar you find near the checkout at the grocery just doesn’t make the grade.

But I have the perfect solution for you if you want to blast fat off your abs AND still be able to indulge your sweet tooth every now and then.

Prograde Cravers are the perfect healthy option to satisfy any craving. Yes, that’s how they got their name.

Just look at what advantages Cravers have over other so-called “nutrition” bars on the market:

- They are the best-tasting bars on the market: Bar-none (sorry, pun intended ;-).

- Organic ingredients: No chemicals or artificial anything.

- The perfect snack size: Each bar is only 180 calories, so it’s a perfect sized snack to hold you over between meals.

- Zero trans fats: Cravers have the healthy fats your body needs to keep your metabolism revving high.

- No preservatives or stabilizers: It’s all natural and certified organic.

- 3 grams of healthy fiber: Keeps you feeling full for longer.

- Sustained energy: The perfect amount of complex carbohydrates for ongoing energy when you need it most.

And if you live in the United States or Canada, you’re in luck.

This week Prograde Cravers are officially one year old and Prograde is having a big birthday celebration! It starts today and runs through Friday.

Now something to understand if Prograde is NOT available in stores anywhere. The stuff is so good you can only get it through fitness professionals.

And since fat loss experts from all over the US and Canada will be promoting this celebration, you should get at least one box RIGHT NOW before supplies run out.

http://ProfessionalGradeNutrition.com/cravers is the link you’ll click to order.

When you get to the check out page put in this coupon code: cravers (yes, it is caps sensitive)

This will automatically take $10 off the purchase of any box of cravers.

Say goodbye to those candy bars that pack on the pounds. Say goodbye to those “protein bars” that taste like cardboard.

Bottom line: Order a box of Prograde Cravers (the peanut butter is most popular) and taste the difference for yourself.

Your abs - and your sweet tooth - will be glad you did.

I know you can do it!

Yours in health,

Jayson Hunter, RD, CSCS

PS - Again, the coupon code for $10 off a purchase of Cravers is good through Friday. http://ProfessionalGradeNutrition.com/cravers

The ball and chain workout

July 3, 2008 by jim · Leave a Comment

I recently wrote a newsletter about how much GUILT holds us back.

It’s such a powerful emotion.

And I’ve told you before, if you can’t control your emotions, they will control YOU.

A trainer wrote back to me about that newsletter. See if it applies to you.

“Good message, Jim!

I have your sales series, have been in pt and professional bodybuilding for the last 20 years.

I’m a single Mom, and thought that I didn’t have the energy or time to market myself-when, really, I had GUILT.

Sure, the guilt was coming from outside sources, but I took in in in a subconscious level.

Thanks for the message-I’ll be talking with you, soon!

Sincerely,

Jackie

Again, I cannot stress this enough:

Control your emotions or they WILL control you.

Who loves ya? ;-)

Yours in prosperity,

Jim Labadie

The mirror workout

June 23, 2008 by jim · Leave a Comment

Have you ever taken a good look at yourself in the mirror?

Seriously.

Have you ever taken a step back and looked at your life as if you were someone else?

It’s amazing what you’ll see when you take the time.

One of the things you want to look at is what is accelerating OR preventing your success.

Oftentimes GUILT is one of the emotions which really holds us back.

So let’s take a look at YOU right now. Get in front of the mirror and take a good look.

Imagine you’re making 6 figures PER MONTH. Does it feel great?
Or does it make you feel guilty?

Would you feel bad because your mom and dad never made anywhere near that much?

Do you feel bad because there are so many people on the planet who will never come close to making a fraction of that?

Do you have feelings of unworthiness? In other words, you could NEVER be worthy of making that much moolah?

Emotions are what drive us.

I’ve had trainers write back to me after emails like this and complain they just want marketing advice.

But I’ll tell you what: if you don’t have your emotions pulling you in the right direction, well, you’re temporarily screwed.

You need to get right with yourself before anything else.

Who loves ya? ;-)

Yours in prosperity,

Jim Labadie

Masterminds your dreams

June 20, 2008 by jim · Leave a Comment

I’m going to be writing a lot more about dreams.

Not enough trainers dream big enough.

They don’t dream enough about the lifestyle THEY want to lead.

More and more trainers are creating businesses.

That’s a good thing.

But there is something they miss:

The business exists to serve YOU.

You do NOT exist to serve the business.

You’re not going to get anywhere without taking action.

But there’s a very good chance you need to get some fresh air and start dreaming of MORE.

Here’s a little exercise for you:

Imagine you work 10 hours a week and earn 6 figures PER MONTH.

Where would the moolah go?

What would you do with all that extra time?

What charity would you donate to?

Dreams are good for the subconscious mind. It can’t tell what’s real and what’s not.

Dream bigger dreams.

And don’t worry about where the moolah comes from. Just imagine the result.

Next time we’ll talk about guilt and what it does to your dreams.

Who loves ya? ;-)

Yours in prosperity,

Jim Labadie

PS - Dreams are great. Combine ‘em with action and they come true.

Ultimate Lifestyle

June 19, 2008 by jim · Leave a Comment

This uplifting message is brought to you by http://The-Carb-Rotation-Diet.com

As I’ve told you before, I used to work in a Tech Support job.

Man, was I one miserable SOB back then. Whenever I call a customer service line I do my absolute best to be super nice because I know from experience how awful it is to have to listen to problems and complaints all day.

Life’s quite a bit different these days.

On Tuesday I went to the movies with Ryan Lee - before he heads back up North - to see The Promotion.

It’s a good flick, highly recommend it. Kinda reminds me of the movie Election starring Ferris Bueller, er uh, I mean, Mathew Broderick.

In “The Promotion” the main characters are both vying for, you guessed it, the same job promotion. And the job is the head manager of a grocery store.

Not my idea of Ultimate Lifestyle, but that’s not for me to judge.

Everybody’s on their journey, on their path, so to speak. But I just wouldn’t dig being the manager of a grocery store.

I guess somebody has to do it. I’m just glad it’s not me.

When I was near the end of high school I had zero clue what I wanted to do with my life. So my mother and sister suggested I would make a terrific high school PE teacher and football coach.

And they were probably right. And there’s nothing wrong with being either. One of the most influential men in the history of my life was my head football coach in HS. I’d be proud to be compared to him.

But it just wasn’t for me. It wasn’t MY Ultimate Lifestyle.

I pretty much live mine nowadays. Though it would be easier if I had that private jet I’ve been yearning for.

Mind you, I didn’t get here overnight. Nope, it’s taken me years. I just kept getting closer and closer, day by day.

What about you? Do you know what you want from life? Are you going after it? Do you feel guilty about it? Do you know I love ya?

Thought I’d slip that last one in.

Yours in prosperity,

Jim Labadie

PS - I’ve shared this one with you before, but http://The-Carb-Rotation-Diet.com kicks so much a@@ I figured I’d remind you.

“Thanks so much for http://The-Carb-Rotation-Diet.com

As a 16+ year veteran in the fitness industry I have to tell you I am actually surprised at the results my subscribers and clients are having with your eBook. So much in fact, I have to tell you about one of them.

One of my clients in particular has literally done it all. He tried the South Beach approach - couldn’t stick with it long enough to get results.

Then he went to a “high end nutrition expert” who is also an MD. He had blood work done in addition to a complete profile of health history, current eating habits, goals etc. and what he got in return was a plan so complicated he had to worry about what type of lettuce he was eating in his salads!

Let’s just say for very busy business man who works out at 5:30 am in order to get to the office on time - this diet plan failed before it even began.

This individual was and is doing everything right in terms exercise in an effort to lose those last 10 pounds. I introduced him to http://The-Carb-Rotation-Diet.com less than 3 weeks ago.

To my utter amazement he is only 2 pounds away from his target weight already! In fact he dropped 4 pounds the first week! Moreover he has totally embraced http://The-Carb-Rotation-Diet.com and feels he can absolutely stick to it 90% of the time…forever.

Thanks for putting this eBook together, Jayson. It’s great to know exactly where I can send clients and subscribers to get credible, truthful diet advice that works! You’ve just made my job easier!

Gratefully,

Dave Gleason

Some Father’s Day Love

June 16, 2008 by jim · Leave a Comment

It’s Father’s Day here in the United States, so I wanted to share some more of my story with you today.

My dad is a great guy. He’s not the most talkative man. He’s certainly not the most outgoing.

But he took care of three kids and his wife as best he could. We never wanted for anything. We weren’t rich, but we were far from poor.

He put three kids through college without having to borrow a dime. He was a big part of the booster club for the high school football team when my brother and I played.

He spent a fortune on my sister’s wedding. He doesn’t take sh*t from anybody. He always took us on vacations.

But a lot of my dad’s life was spent working in a business that he owned but certainly didn’t love. And the stress and the constant commuting to New York City landed him in the hospital with a minor heart attack at age 45.

That was 1988. He’s been fine ever since. He’s been retired for a few years now. And he’s much happier for it.

He’s a great father. I just wish his life could have been a little easier. But if it had, well, maybe I wouldn’t be here writing this message to you today.

I received emails from many of you in response to my grandmother’s passing. One of them inspired me to write this one.

You should be proud as hell to be the kind of person my father is. But I only hope you’re different in one way.

Do what you love to do. Please do what you love to do.

If you’re not where you want to be right now that’s ok.

Know what you want.

Make a reasonable plan to make it happen.

You don’t have to drop everything.

Just move forward day after day.

Small steps lead to big results.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dad’s out there.

Celebrate and make moolah at the same time

June 13, 2008 by jim · Leave a Comment

One of the things I learned the hard way was how to have a sale online.

Most of the time I’ve tied a special promo into my birthday or a holiday or something.

But one time I just had a sale for the heck of it.

And I’ll tell ya, I didn’t sell jack squat.

Whenever you have some kind of sale you MUST tie it into something.

Meaning you have to give people a good reason to believe in your sale other than you want to make some fast bux.

In April our Prograde Pros made a killing with our One Year Anniversary sale.

And we expect they are going to do great with this week’s Father’s Day promo as well.

For the One Year we put everything on sale.

This time, so it makes sense, we only put our Men’s VGF 25+ product on sale because it is the only one that is 100% specific to men/dads.

Anyway, if you ever decide to have a special offer on ANYTHING you sell, make sure you tie it in with a special occasion of some sort.

Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.

Who loves ya? ;-)

Yours in prosperity,

Jim Labadie
