Today I’m in Pittsburgh to watch my beloved Steelers play the NY Giants.
I flew in yesterday and will fly out tomorrow. I’m fully aware this is not a little luxury many people can afford.
But I’ll tell you what: I’ve worked my friggin’ ass off to get to this point in my life.
And while I could go on and on about Entitlement Mentality, I thought I’d simply share the article that gave me the idea for this little rant.
Please note I do NOT know the author. In fact, I’d never heard of the man until I read it.
But he says it all.

Enjoy your Sunday. I know I’m going to enjoy mine.
Good luck in your personal trainer marketing, I’ll be giving you more information soon.

parking lot workouts

In my ‘former life’ I was a tech support rep.
And the very first day on the job was, ummmm, enlightening.
I was driving down the onramp for Route 80 East heading towards the George Washington Bridge.
My job was in Englewood, NJ, the last exit before the GWB takes you to NYC.
And that’s when I saw it. A parking lot. 80 East was a freaking parking lot.
Not that surprising when you consider all those commuters heading into the city.
So there I sat. A feeling of dread came over me like a tidal wave.
“THIS is my life?”
“This is what I’m going to be doing every day from now on? Sitting in traffic driving to a job I’m not looking forward to working at?”
That was the summer of 1996. My life couldn’t be more different now.
I live near the beach in South Florida.
I love what I do.
I have the easiest commute in the world.
I take time off whenever I want.
I get to help lots of people.
So this is just a little reminder that life is what YOU make it.
If you don’t like yours, then do something about it.
It doesn’t always happen overnight. But if you dream, plan, set goals and take action, it WILL happen.
It did for me. It will for you.

An interesting question

I got this question yesterday. Please read it and my response.
“Hi Jim,
I want some TYPICAL examples of earnings for fitness pros who are making money in corporate wellness.”
thanks,
Chris
JL: First, please understand that I write this with a pleasant smile on my face. Email does a lousy job of relaying the tone of the conversation.
Second, why in the world would you want to know the TYPICAL earnings?
Why?
I don’t care what the typical is. I want to know how much loot the BEST company is raking in.
Typical is not what I want from my life.
And if you think I’m making too much of this…
Words are powerful. Self-talk is powerful.
Watch everything you say. Watch everything you write.
Who loves ya?
Yours in prosperity,
Jim Labadie
PS - By the way, the best corporate guy I know is my buddy BJ Gaddour. I interviewed him for the whole scoop in my http://SixFigureBootCamps.com program.
PPS - Yes, BJ is the trainer who takes 15 weeks of vacation each year. That takes the cake, huh? http://SixFigureBootCamps.com
