Welcome back! If you want results quick, check out my "63 Must-Have Sales Tips for Personal Trainers"

As you know, I’m a HUGE believer in using public speaking to grow your training business.

Would you rather sell to one person at a time, or dozens.

That’s why you should be spending time each week actively seeking out speaking engagements.

Pretty easy.

In fact, it’s one of the 6 weekly activities found in the http://personaltraineru.com/ Six Figure Six system we unveiled last night. (more…)

BIG tip helps you succeed

Savvy business owners are always looking to cut costs in the right places.

But when it comes to anything dealing with legal issues, well, that is NOT the time to scrimp.

If you’re creating a partnership…

I know attorney fees can add up.

A few hundred here. A few hundred there. And maybe a grand or two just for fun.

But it doesn’t matter. You simply have to cover your butt from the beginning.

Get a good attorney on your team of advisors and follow their advice.

Run your business like a business.

Seems obvious, I know. But it’s advice that is often ignored.

“Hi Jim,

I wanted to thank you for your email and concern about the http://AmazingFitnessPresentations.com kit. I have been putting the information to good use.

My first experience was at a church function. We signed up forty (40) new clients.

We are doing a yoga class once a week at the church hall. Everyone was very excited about this new class and to experience a new exercise routine on the church premises. I am sure that once we get a few classes going, we will start building new clients. This kit has been very helpful and informative to me and my group.

I enjoy reading your emails everyday and I will encourage every personal trainer to get this kit. Thanks again.”

the Millionaire inside of you

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Late Saturday night I was watching a special program on CNBC called “The Millyunaire Inside.”

They actually have these specials on once and awhile with a different them each time. This one was about people in debt and how to get out of it.

One young man was One Millyun in debt. Yup, seven figures.

Some of it was kredit kard, but most of it was mortgages on 4 properties he is getting killed on.

Apparently he got caught up in the housing frenzy where everyone was going nuts with real estate a few years ago. And the fact these places are in Miami isn’t exactly a good thing. In case you didn’t know, property values in that area have been getting slaughtered.

Anyway, all of the financial experts they had on the panel during the show felt the same way about him:

He’s a very bright guy with an MBA that is going to get himself out of this mess and floursih.

It was stupid. They knew it and he knew it. He got himself in a bad way.

But he wasn’t out of touch with reality. He had a plan to fix things. He wasn’t being an irresponsible fool.

He just made some mistakes.

And I’ll tell you what: If he plays his cards right, he will look back on these days and be incredibly grateful for them.

One person on the panel started talking about how far Donald Trump had to come. And just how broke he was at one point.

They told a story of how Trump would point to a homeless person on the streets of NYC and explain how that person was worth more than he was. All because of mistakes he had made and the massive debt he was in.

Now I’m certainly not telling you to do stupid stuff on purpose.

But I am telling you to forgive yourself if you have.

It happens to the best of us.

Dream big. Set goals. Create a plan. Follow the plan. Adjust as necessary.

And if you screw up, forgive yourself and start again.
