The Ultimate Reason Why
Welcome back! If you want results quick, check out my "63 Must-Have Sales Tips for Personal Trainers"
This may be the most important newsletter I’ve ever written, so please be sure to read all of it.
There’s a company I know that has grown to become very successful for one reason beyond all others:
They had a big enough “why.”
Their leader was told for years that what he wanted to accomplish just couldn’t be done.
Time after time he was turned away by programmers who told him the software he needed created to make his dream a reality just couldn’t be written.
But this man had a big enough “why.”
And he never quit on his dream because of it.
You see, this man was inspired by the death of his own brother to create a company that helped people show appreciation for one another.
He had missed the chance to tell his brother he loved him, and he vowed to build a business that would prevent others from doing the same.
When everyone was telling him it couldn’t be done he would only need think back to his reason “why.”
He had made a promise to his brother and it would NOT be broken.
Today that company is changing lives one card at a time. It’s doing something like 50 mill per year, and from what Pat, Nick and I have seen, well, they are on their way to billyuns.
All because this man had a big enough “why.”
Now, there has been some recent posts on http://personaltraineru.com/ that have inspired me to write this to you today.
There has been talk of self-sabotage. Fear of failure. Fear of success.
And that is a good thing. As I’ve been writing to you for years: These are the things nobody wants to talk about, but overcoming these fears creates the building blocks of success.
Everyone wants the blueprint. They want the instant success formula.
But hardly anyone is willing to look deep into their soul and confront their own emotions.
Hardly anyone is willing to come to grips with the fact they have to have a big enough “why.”
It can be scary. It can be embarrassing to some. It can be heart wrenching.
But it has to be done.
What is your real reason “why.”
Why are you on this mission to build a business.
And don’t tell me it’s to make more muney or have more free time.
Why do you want more muney. Why do you want more free time.
What is the why behind it all.
If it’s big enough you’ll be shocked at what you can do.
And in case you haven’t figured it out, that company I’m talking about is Send Out Cards.
Not only does their CEO, Kody Bateman, have a big enough “why”, but the whole company does, too. And I mean EVERYONE involved in it.
They have a great message, great people and a great product.
So now let’s get to me. What’s my “why.”
There are many small reasons. But if I had to tell you the biggest reason WHY I do what I do in the personal training industry it would be this:
I watched my father work himself into a heart attack at the age of 45. The stress of his business was just too much.
That happened on a Monday when I was 16 years old.
Two days later, on Wednesday, my friend Jamie, also 16 at the time, was killed in a motorcycle accident.
A rough couple of days for sure.
But it taught me an awful lot about making the most of your life.
And that’s my “why.”
That’s why I teach some of the most caring, giving and hard working professionals in the world how to make the most of their time.
So promise me you’ll do some soul searching and find your “why.”
And I promise you have only been witnessing the start of all of this.
Soon you will see changes in the attitudes and success of personal trainers worldwide like you never dreamed possible.
How do I know this will become a reality.
Because I have a big enough why.
Who loves ya?
Yours in prosperity,
PS - I urge you to put your faith in Pat, Nick and I. While you are doing your soul searching be sure to ask yourself this question:
“Is putting my faith in Jim, Pat and Nick the right thing to do?”
